A busy week for the club as the committee are working hard to finalise sponsorship details ahead of the forthcoming kit order. More details on that to follow. Events Season kicks off and KCC move towards youth section

With spring just around the corner, the KCC strava widget had tracked almost 2000 miles covered by members in the last week. When snow covered most of our roads for half the week and temperatures barely climbing above 5C this is a huge total, which would be even more impressive if a few of the ‘deniers’ signed up. Well done to those members out representing the club at various events. Stuart McIver completed the Bishopscourt sprint duathlon Read more

Killinchy’s Ulster Champ!

Bumper Turnout for Christmas Cycle

On Saturday 20th December a well decorated bunch of 26 cyclists were off on their annual pilgrimage to The Cuan . Some feeder groups got out before dawn and all collected in Killinchy for a 9.30 run to Strangford, assisted by a strong Westerly and Drew’s whistle! A couple of minor detours here and there meant that all riders, regardless of speed, arrived in Strangford around the same time. The welcome from our friends at the Read more

KCC Christmas Dinner enjoyed by all

After a long week of wet & windy then frosty conditions only a little cycling was achieved. On Saturday a group of  8 took to the trails in Castlewellan to work up an appetite and indeed a reasonable thirst for later on.   The main event of  the week involved much talking about bikes as opposed to riding them. The Poachers Pocket played host to a full house of members and partners for the Christmas Read more
