U16 Ulster MTB Champ & our first A1 open road rider

MTB success for KCC over the weekend

As there was no open roadies racing this weekend past, all focus was on the Gravity Enduro (Carlow) and Ulster XC Champs (Castlewellan) Wee Drew Armstrong along with his dad set off early to take in the long drive down to the 4th round of the Enduro series, were Drew was placed very well with good point during the previous rounds. KCC members attend various events during a busy week

Throughout the week our members of all ages attended various cycling and non cycling events. We had the normal club runs for ice cream with several new faces joining in with the black and orange brigade. One member decided to take the longest daylight day off and see how far he could cycle, and he finished with 306 miles with an 18.4av. The Killinchy K150 will be opening soon for entries covering three various distances. We have slightly amended the K80 & 150 routes this year to take in some better quality & wider roads from Manse Rd at Castlereagh going passed Lagan College and onto Cairns Hill with the food stop at the old Garden Centre on Carryduff Rd, then it will resume onto original route again at Carryduff (this misses out Lisnabreeny, Clontacally & Manse Read more
