Is there any stopping KCC attending events??

It’s been another busy week for our members as some just don’t know when to stop pushing themselves to the limit 🙂 Andy Evans supported Ardscc at their last event on their calendar by attending their Bradshaws Brae hill climb on Tuesday evening, and if that wasn’t enough he punished himself even more by attending the DCC hill climb champs at Dree finishing up top of Croob. Andy was amongst the 52 entries and came Read more

Leisure/Sportive Events and a few cracking race results

There just seems to be event after event every weekend lately and the past week was no different with 6 social events and various racing events on the calendar. However before all that we had the usual club runs during the week with more non-members arriving and partaking, then joining the club, bringing our membership up to 148 in total now – we must be doing something right to attract cyclists 🙂 On Saturday there Read more

Some were resting after K150, but not Andy McC

After a very successful K150, many riders decided to take it easy and attend a couple of the easier club runs and take a few days off, however this wasn’t the case for Andy McCullough, as he attended the final NDCC closed circuit race (along with Phil Doyle) at Kirkstown averaging over 27mph for the duration of the race. He then attended Jonny’s reverse K150 route on Saturday, however turning off slightly earlier to rest Read more

Another K150, another success for the club

On the 21st August our club ran their annual K150 leisure (or some would put it sportive) event in aid of Tiny Life. Online sign on was the highest yet with 145, however it was going to depend on the weather on the day for the fair weather cyclists to see how many extra would turn up, and the cyclists didn’t disappoint, as we more than doubled with 312 riders in total signing on to Read more

Successful day for our off road members

KCC thankful to those working hard to promote K150 & our Sponsors

Some of our members haven’t stopped over the last few weeks in promoting our K150 event. If it’s not Laura hitting every cycling FB group she can think off, it’s our KCC twitter admin on social media, however a lot of very hard work goes on in the background and we are very thankful to those committed to making this event another great success. Scott, Ross, Lyn, Jane & Drew have been out road marking, Read more

Happy Birthday to one of the elder statesmen of KCC

KCC, had a relatively quiet week in relation to club runs due to the fact that it was Patrick’s BIG 50 on Thursday night, so some of the regular club runs agreed to meet at 18.45, however split due to numbers and head back to The Poachers Pocket afterwards for a curry night (along with a refreshing pint). In total we had over 50 cyclists out on various routes, with around 40 heading back for Read more

KCC attend National XC Champs & Woodgreen TT

Sorry for the lack of updates to KCC lately, however some of us have family holidays to take LOL Anyway back at it and KCC is still growing in numbers in members and attendees to all our weekly club rides, and it looks like the ‘loop the loop’ is the most popular weekly cycle as it’s usually attended by over 15-20 riders all willing to push themselves that wee bit harder, and it’s showing as Read more
