Great days racing at Delamont
On Sunday past we hosted round 3 of the Ulster Cyclocross league in Delamont Country Park. This was our second go at running a round and after the mud and gutters of last year it was nice to have dry ground albeit not really proper CX conditions! We decided to run the race in the opposite direction this year which made for a faster and more flowy course. This meant we had to cut a few new sections through the woods to slow riders down, so a little extra prep work was needed.
We also had new kids courses with a slightly extended course for each race. This meant we had to make course adjustments between each race but thanks to the number of helpers everything went as planned.
We would like to say thanks to all the 280 competitors that came along as well as all the club members and supporters that helped out on the lead up and on the day. Thanks to our sponsors CRC, Poachers Pocket and also to Killyleagh Nisa. The Belguim Project were also in attendance (see photos below), thanks to Dany and the team for the commentary. Also thanks to Bronagh Kirk for the photos and the staff at Delamont for the support.
