Defibrillator allocated to Killinchy CC from Sport NI

Published by admin on

We were successful in the ‘Sport NI Defibrillator for Sport Programme’ and have been allocated an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).  This is a sophisticated , reliable, safe computerised device that delivers a controlled electric shock and is used to treat victims who experience a cardiac arrest (when the heart stops pumping and are unconscious).

This AED is for the whole community and we decided it would be best placed somewhere central – and where better than the local pub!  Thanks to Balloo House for agreeing to this to be mounted on the wall and suppling the weather-proof enclosure.  For more info on AEDs please visit https://www.resus.org.uk/faqs/faqs-defibrillators/
