Drew Armstrong at World euduro series in Italy

Really well done to Drew from all at KCC, here is a report from him:

Thought i’d let you know how I got on at the 5th round of the Enduro World Series in La Thuile, Italy.
Practice on Thursday and Friday was an eye opener with each stage being at least 10 mins long and over 1000m descending they were physical for sure and highly demanding on the bike. On Friday night I must have ate something that didn’t agree with me and I suffered the consequences on Saturday with cramps all day and struggling to eat and drink which wasn’t ideal with 35 kms and 2850m climbing. I ended the day in 41st and a lot of work to do on Sunday. I wasn’t happy with the way I had ridden all day with lots of mistakes and crashes.
On Sunday I pulled myself together and rode much better than Saturday and felt a lot more like myself on the bike. Managed two top 20 stage results and pulled myself from 41st to 30th over 4 stages gaining myself some EWS points to climb up the standings a bit.
Was a massive learning curve and can’t wait to do it all over again in September for round 7 & 8.
Thanks again for all your support.
Drew
