KCC at round 1 of the Ormeau Spring XC league

KCC were well represented today at XMTB Spring League at Ormeau Park. First off was Rudi in the Under 6’s, were he finished a well deserved 3rd. Next out was Reuben and Gracie in the Under 10’s where Reuben finished 1st and Gracie did well in her first Under 10 race. Then it was onto the Under 12’s were Andrew Croskery had his first race for KCC (no pics unfortunately) where he and Rory McBride finished strongly. Next up was the Adult B race, well done to Mark Rooney and …James Croskery, who finished well in their first ever MTB race and Geoff Maitland and Rod McBride, also finished well up the field. Next up was the Under 16’s were Drew Armstrong rode strongly to finish 3rd against his old club. Last, but not least was the Adult A race were Ross Galway and Scott Maitland took part in 8 gruelling laps. Great to see so many Killinchy jerseys, from the kids to the “older kids!!!!!” Well done all and to XMTB for putting on another great race – fantastic day.
