Maitland clan on form at Lady Dixon

KCC representation at Round 3 of the Ulster XC league, hosted by Xmtb, started an finished with the usual members of the Maitland family entering respective categories and helping/encouraging each other throughout the day.

The smaller kids started off with Rudi finishing 6th in the U6s, great job in a large field of 20+ riders. Next up Gracie with the first podium of the day for KCC with a terrific 2nd place in the girls U8s. Ulster U8 XC champion Reuben continues to move up the field in the U10 race finishing 7th and is sure to keep rising up the rankings as he gets to grips with riding against the older entrants.

Big kids were next up and Geoff took a deserved 5th in Senior 4. Scott lined out in Senior 3 and in the longer race opened up an unheard of 3 minute + margin on the nearest rider taking the win by a country mile. Senior 2 will be no bother to Scott as his lap times were on a par with the winners there.
