Week Ending 22-06-2014

Sorry for the delay as the committee has been very busy finalizing the K150 for open entries on Entry Central.
However here goes as to what has been happening over the past few weeks at KCC.
The club is proud to announce we have just over 60 members (even one as far as Italy) now with a few females in the mix, and with one in particular mixing it up with the boys on the TT circuits. Our very own Jill McClements is starting to return to form after a brief spell off with injury, and she is starting to set some fast times at the inter-club league races. Also continuing to impress is Paul C, Alan P and Peter D, with all setting PB’s on different circuits.
Scott Maitland entered his first XC race at Garvagh and finished a very well placed 4th in the S4 class.
Jonny McKeag and a few others took on the challenge of doing the charity cycle from Malin to Mazin Head and they all successfully completed the cycle, with each getting a well deserved pint at the finish 😉
The club runs are continuing to be of good numbers, however they have dropped slightly during the weekend runs (perhaps holidays, races etc), but it’s still great to see new faces turning up and enjoying the banter along with the miles being put in.
Finally it is sad to write that one of our members was knocked off his bicycle whilst out on a training run with some of the LLRC members. Peter is sore with some severe bruising, however we can all be thankful nothing was broken and hopefully he will be back out on the bike soon. Get Well Soon Peter Disney!!
