Shrigley Time Trial 12 May 2015

The first KCC event of the year was our interclub time trial. Unfortunate timing meant a clash with LLRCC’s annual Mallorca trip but 15 entered in total including a few KCC members giving time trialling a first go. It is certainly a testing course – uphill with a strong headwind on the way out – Darragh Cross felt a long way and the turn was a welcome sight.

Many thanks to Ross for organising and taking a night off the bike to ensure everything went to plan. Rumour has it he will be sleeping with a spud in the bed tonight….Thanks also to the marshalls and timekeepers for making this happen safely and offering their encouragement along the route.

Final thanks to guest riders from Dromara, Ards, NDCC and Curran, and a good show from our interclub league friends at Shimna.
